FRIDAY 29TH

Following a fantastic week, with a brilliant group of children and adults, the journey was only marginally disrupted by incredibly strong winds across the channel! This made for a slightly bumpy crossing but otherwise the party made very good time.

To finalise this blog, we just thought that we would add a few extra photos of the last day or so.

Thank you to all staff and students for making this such a wonderful experience, and for providing memories for many years to come.

THURSDAY 28TH

Apologies for the delay of Thursday’s blog… we lost connection to the wifi (the kids weren’t sure what to do without internet!!) but here is the latest update:

We have been very lucky again with great ski conditions although a touch cooler today! The kids wrapped up a little more for their lessons where they triumphed over the snowplough, parallel turns and a slalom race!

In the afternoon the instructors watched each child ski down the pistes individually to assess their ski competency. We are extremely proud to say that all the students successfully passed and took part in the awards presentation! They all received a certificate and medal to congratulate their significant progress during the week. One student was heard to say “It’s not just a medal, it’s a memory…” A lovely sentiment we thought we should share with you!

For our last night in the resort we celebrated in style by hosting the legendary karaoke night! All the kids loved singing their favourite songs with a particular favourite in One Direction songs (The adults may have shown their age by apparently choosing some questionable songs…!) We rounded off a fantastic evening with a round of “We Are The Champions” with all adults and students joining in together. A cracking last evening to a brilliant week!

WEDNESDAY 27TH

For the 4th day in a row we were greeted with 'bluebird' blue skies and glorious sunshine!

The beginner groups have shown great progression throughout the week, with all now using ski poles whilst exploring the Les Menuires resort. All groups met with their ski instructors bright and early after breakfast, fully kitted out with their skis, ski poles… and a hunger to get out on the pistes once again!

The after dinner entertainment this evening was the infamous music quiz, which included the notorious Mr. Nicholls air guitar round – and the bonus High School Musical round, which proved popular with the kids (whilst the Teachers didn't have a much of a clue!)

At this stage of the week, everyone has managed to experience a huge range of runs in the resort, taking in the awesome views of the Alps, including some of Mont Blanc, in some of the best skiing conditions we have seen on the trip, along with quiet pistes.
